to The City of Austell 13 years ago. He grew up playing soccer,
baseball, football, and swimming for The City of Atlanta Parks and
Recreation. Twenty-eight years later, he is still dedicated to Cobb and
Atlanta parks and recreation as a volunteer.
has served as a sports official for the past 16 years. Being
active in the community and taking advantage of the many great
outdoor and cultural opportunities that city parks have to offer is his
motto. After graduating from the Atlanta Public Schools System, Devon went
on to study at Mechanical Trade Institute. Devon has worked both union and
non-union, and he is currently employed with The City of Atlanta in The
Department of Enterprise Assets Management.
He has used his organization Myrick Management, for which he is serving as Director, as a platform to assist the underprivileged in sports organizations. Devon has also created ‘youth zones’ that provide family-based activities and mentoring to Cobb County's younger generation at Wallace Park. He has coached for The City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation while helping to prepare young people for college and professional sports.
Mr. Myrick is a member of The National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) and the United States Flag & Touch Football League (USFTL). In addition, Devon has won numerous flag football championships playing with Soul Patrol and Yung Crew USFTL teams. Devon Myrick is serving his 1st term as the City of Austell Ward 2 Councilman.
Devon has been married to his wonderful wife, Eboni Myrick since 1999. They have two sons; Terry Myrick and Tyree Myrick.
