Chief Natalie Poulk began her Public Safety Career as a 911 Dispatcher with the City of Austell in 1999.
She went on to attend the North Central Law Enforcement Academy and Graduated in 2000. Chief Poulk has served as Patrol Officer, Sergeant/ Patrol and Criminal Investigations Division, and Lieutenant over Criminal Investigations Division.
In 2006, she was promoted to the rank of the Deputy Chief of Police. During her tenure, she has served in many capacities, including serving as a Board Member with the Georgia Internal Affairs Investigation Association.
Chief Poulk initiated Austell Police Department's Holiday Donations program. Within a few years, this program has grown to be a great departmental and community bonding experience. Partnering with local schools, businesses and citizens, the program helped over 100 people in 2020, and is steadily growing.
This program assists families and children by providing toys and essentials such as toys, clothing, food, and personal care items.
Chief Natalie Poulk has been married to her husband John since 2005. John also serves as a Law Enforcement Officer in a neighboring Jurisdiction. They have two sons; Jayden and Chaz.
Chief Poulk is responsible for administration and the over-all operations of the department. She loves the Austell Community.
She is appreciative that both citizens, and her team feel they can trust her for support.
